Mayapple Press is a small literary press founded in 1978 by poet and editor Judith Kerman. We celebrate literature that is both challenging and accessible: poetry that transcends the categories of "mainstream" and "avant-garde"; women's writing; the Great Lakes/Northeastern culture; the recent immigrant experience; poetry in translation; science fiction poetry.

Mayapple author Jeannine Hall Gailey interviewed

Jeanine Hall Gailey - Author of "The Robot Scientist's Daugther"

In March of 2015, Mayapple Press will publish “The Robot Scientist’s Daughter” by Jeannine Hall Gailey. As a matter of fact, we are taking advance orders for it now.

Of course, this is not Jeannine’s first rodeo. She has written several books and she talks with Geosi Gyasi about them in a recent interview. While the piece is pegged to her most recent book, Unexplained Fevers, Jeannine also explores her training and her creative process.
