Mayapple Press is a small literary press founded in 1978 by poet and editor Judith Kerman. We celebrate literature that is both challenging and accessible: poetry that transcends the categories of "mainstream" and "avant-garde"; women's writing; the Great Lakes/Northeastern culture; the recent immigrant experience; poetry in translation; science fiction poetry.

Video: Sneak Preview of a new Mayapple Press title coming from Eleanor Lerman

Strange Life from Eleanor Lerman on Vimeo.

In March of 2014, Eleanor Lerman, author of “Janet Planet” and “The Blonde on the Train”, will publish “Strange Days”.

Eleanor has made three videos of readings from the book. We think that they are fascinating. Mayapple Press is proud to continue our association with Eleanor and we are looking forward to her fans being able to read her new work.
