On Saturday June 4th Mayapple Press publisher Judith Kerman and Mayapple Press author Lorraine Schein will participate in the Catskill Interpretive Center’s Book Fair. They are scheduled to read at 2pm and they will be selling and signing books all day.

Judith Kerman will read from her new book “Aleph, broken: poems from my diaspora“. This book is an evocative and powerful collection of poems, where personal history collides
with ancestral memories, a sense of elegiac longing is tempered by language of exquisite beauty. Judy will also be on hand to sell her other books and translations.

Lorraine Schein, author of “The Futurist’s Mistress,” will read from her recent works and will also be on hand to sign her books.

The Book Fair is a regular event at the CIC. Two speakers’ tents will feature the work of over 20 presenters. Participating authors include Carol and Dave White, Mike Kudish, Evan Pritchard, Bob Steuding, Robert Burke Warren, Bill Birns and Mercedes Cecilia.

There will be activities for children. All ages are welcome at this free event.

Come with friends, family and your picnic baskets to listen to the finest Catskill authors and filmmakers discuss the glories of the Hudson River Valley. The CIC provides picnic tables and self-guided trails—plus a well-appointed Interpretive Center to help you plan your next hike, water adventure or tour of the Catskills.
